Watch UK TV programmes from 2007 onwards, including many films and useful documentaries.

Provides a comprehensive collection of Industry Market Research and Industry Risk Ratings often producing reports on more spefici sectors than Mintel or Key Note

A database with both company and market data. It contains information on around 7 million UK companies and has tools which allow comparison of company performance against the sector. The market reports are detailed and cover a wide range of UK markets. Some key reports also contain a comparison with European markets. The database also provides access to 'UKplc'

Lengthy reports with data on catering topics such as ethnic restaurants and roadside catering plus travel and leisure

You will find market reports on leisure time use for a variety of countries here.

We suggest the following websites as a useful starting point for Hospitality Tourism and Leisure students.

Useful statistics and case studies in the Industry section of this website plus position statements on major areas of concern. Useful set of links to a wide variety of food, drink, hospitality and tourism bodies.

A continuously updated site with links to UK and EU legislation and news on food and food safety

The portal for Government departments, policies, publications and statistics. You can either search the site by Department such as Department for Culture Media and Sport or search within publications or statistics for the topic you require

Use this online local heritage resource to search and explore digitised local studies collections from across Hampshire, including Southampton and Portsmouth.

Essentially a USA site for the hospitality industry, you can find some European market reports here and sign up for a free daily newsletter

• 

Is the sector skills council for hospitality, passenger transport, travel and tourism industry. You can find lots of free case studies, industry profiles and “state of the nation” reports on the industry if you register.

• 

This national tourism agency website aimed at the industry. Contains useful oversights and statistics about the industry explore the Insights and Statistics section in particular. The public face of the agency aimed at the tourist can be found here: http://www.visitbritain.com/en/EN/

The country’s national tourist board site contains more specific reports and statistics. Often more detailed than the Visit Britain information. Remember there is also the visitor facing website at http://www.visitengland.com/ee/

You will find hospitality, tourism and leisure books often shelved with other subjects, when those subjects are an aspect of hospitality tourism and leisure.
