Watch UK TV programmes from 2007 onwards, including many films and useful documentaries.

The library subscribes to many standards including those for information technology, information and finance, and quality.

Use of the University of Portsmouth Library British Standards Online subscription is for educational purposes only. Excessive downloading and printing of the material is prohibited. For more information on these restrictions please contact the library.

A collection of electronic reference books including Dictionary of E-Business and Dictionary of Computing. Explore the concept map which may help with essay planning.

Although not a very clear site there are some useful links and introductory pages to Knowledge Management information

The leading professional body for UK IT professionals.  Contains some policy papers, blogs and videos on some topical issues.

A useful portal containing information about Europe’s strategy, progress and vision for the digital age.  Find funding opportunities, press releases, progress reports on a wide variey of topics ranging from improving digital literacy through to cloud computing.

Aimed at providing news and reports to aid the greening of business there is a section dedicated to Computing and IT

An UK Online magazine aimed at providing "insight and analysis for IT leaders". Useful for industry news.

UN Agency for ICT. Useful for information on global standards and statistics

There are several online portals that are a mix of online news and guidance to technical information issued by ICT companies/executives (Buying guides, technical reports, technical overviews often referred to as "white papers"). These sites usually require free registration – read any sign–up information carefully. Such sites include:

This is a UK site with fewer adverts than others. It describes itself as "an industry-leading business technology research library providing information for technology and business professionals. IThound.com is the largest free library of IT resources containing white papers, analyst reports, case studies, product specs and web seminars."

Some annoying adverts but you will find plenty of news, white papers, links to blogs, etc. on topics such as cloud computing, green IT, SAP and ERP

"Where technology means business" - well structured with news, videos, downloads, white papers, reviews and blogs. See also ZD Net USA  site and its associated site Techrepublic.

E-commerce, MIS and BIS are all at 658.054, on the First floor, general computing will be found at 004-006 on the Ground floor. Remember to use Discovery and/or the Catalogue to exploit all our resources.
